I fell, a pale shadow, stretched o'er the ground. Light barely touching the lost soul within. Blades of grass twisting beneath my weight. Heart broken...dreams forgotten...life's own sin. Shine your light and disperse the darkness. Don't let me lay forgotten in the sunlight facedown in puddles of murky dreams of things once loved…now lost…from sight. ©October 5, 2009 Lori Maynard -Unfinished poem
