I'm sitting alone in a coffee shop .

All these lonely sounds never seem to stop .

The coughs and laughs, its all muffled to me .

I'm sitting with a half a cup of tea .

Silver spoons on coffee cups crashing down .

China plates clinking ; such a lonely sound .

All the lonely sounds of a coffee lounge ,

There is no escape and all that surrounds ,

Is pouring inside my heart and my head ,

Like the TV show and the things it said .

Another ring pull on a can of beer .

Slurping it down until the throat is clear .

My lonely heart is longing to be heard .

I have to ask myself why am I scared .

Well I guess I can hear my pounding heart .

In loneliness everyone plays a part .

The constant table talk is all I hear .

Endless chit chat , this and that in my ear .

Scrambled noise , girls and boys , that's all I hear .

How friendly the waitress seems to appear .

Can I help you ?

Please get me out of here .
