Ugly pain
Dripping from my heart
Like semen
Running down the leg of some
Sore-ridden crack whore
Standing on this
Corner
Of indecision and confusion
Hawking my wares
To the un-wanting
Selling my soul
To the un-buying
Crying out for the
Next fix
While eyes search for the
Next trick
I exhaust the last traces
Of my idealism
I give away the last
specks of my
Innocence
And still
Here
I
Stand
Awaiting the verdict
My God, I just read for the first time the stink this poem and Aprill's Two Blow Jobs caused on the Roundtable and was amazed and gratified at the support we got from other authors. i wondered why that poem got more reviews than my other stuff. Karen Dunn..thank you for bringing it to everyones attention...i'm sorry you found it offensive and i'll consider your suggestions about psychoanalysis and meds LOL
This was powerful!!!!! I thought I had given this poem a good review the first time it posted.....and I still do.

Ok so did anybody notice that the poem forms a needle going into skin. Or were the words so vivid I imagined it.
Sue you captured me from the first line and stayed glued to the last line.

Hi Sue,
Nobody can say you dont get into the raw reality of life,
Strange Karen Dunn did not like it,because she is another great poet not afraid to tackle, the seedier side of life.
Anyway very well done Sue.
Proud of you.
