I would, If I Could (for Scada)

Come here sis, sit down next to me
You know I love you
And I hate to see you unhappy
Maybe there is something I can say
Or do that will make you smile
Should I tell you about my love life?
No it makes me cry, and if you laugh
i would be so embarrassed
I could make silly faces like I did when
You were a baby
But mom says my face will freeze like that
And I’m too much of a coward to find out
You know I would take it all away from you
If I could
Just like I took your favorite toy when we were little
I would take all your troubles and hide them
In some special place where they would
Never find you again
If I only could, I would
I would give you the love of my life, if I were
Sure he would make you happy
I would give you the answers to all your questions
If I only knew them myself
So there really isn’t anything I can say is there?
maybe if you just sit here with my arms
Around you for awhile
Things will feel all better after awhile
I’m your big sister after all
I’m supposed to make it all better for you
If only I could….i would
