In case you wonder, I removed the quandry
Question because I realized that I had already
Found the answer and was just looking for validation
We as writers, poets whatever we call ourselves
Have an obligation to write what we feel
From whatever source we draw, the words have to form
It is a part of us, who we are and how we live
To stifle it would be disastrous
Are we under obligation to others?
Of course we are, we do not live in a vacuum
We will always have moral and ethical obligations
And what we do with them is, again, where we make our choices
Whether right or wrong, it is still
Where we live creatively
Would I hurt someone intentionally?
No, I have little natural cruelty in my makeup
But can I promise not to offend, to evoke unpleasant emotions
To occasionally show unbelievably bad taste
No I can’t. It would not be me if I did and it would cost me
More than I can give in the name of moral obligations
I sincerely doubt that I have the pure balls to cross that line between
Pushing limits and ignoring them but I can’t promise I won’t someday
My favorite writers jump across those boundaries with both feet
And I admire them to no end for being able to do it
I still have the Bible belt upbringing battling with the wild woman
From the new millinium to deal with, so I haven’t been able
To comfortably go there yet, but if Phillip Roth had been as
Hesitant as I, Portnoy would have had no complaint, and I
Would not have known that boys masturbate their way thru puperty
While we girls hesitantly touch ourselves in an attempt to explore
How could I have lived without that knowledge
It formed the basis for the penis envy that has plagued my adult life
And should I have never read the Seven Minutes?
Should the young men in that book never have read the book in question?
Was it responsible for their behavior?
What next?
The Kama Sutra?
I think for me, I’ll continue bumbling along as I have, perhaps adding a word
Of warning to new comers, because the regulars know what is in store
If they read my words, they have only themselves to blame, but maybe
A XXX warning is not too much…..or is it….will it lure youngsters in
Out of curiosity rather than saving adult readers a moment to open and then
Close a poem if it is offensive to them?
Too much for me tonight, folks, I have some serious shoe shopping to do

Reviews of "Is Quandry Spelled with One Question Mark or Two"
As you already know how I stand on this...it is in the final analysis the right of an author to write unimpeded as he or she chooses to do so...I believe you made the right decision regardless.

Sis, all I can say to this is, be true to yourself. We've both been known to push limits, but after all, isn't poetry about FEELING? Some of it's depressing as hell, and some of it is beyond edgy. Some of it's humourous, and some if it's sensual. Some of it's downright sick. We wite about both fantasy and reality, and sometimes it's way beyond the pale. But whatever else it might be, it's from deep inside where there's only truth. We don't deliberately set out to hurt people, nor offend them, but sometimes our lives are hurtful and offensive. Morality is a touchy subject, but I am convinced that we need to be able to write whatever we feel, regardless of whether or not others approve. There isn't one thing about you that I'd change. Love ya
No Sue. IT's spelled with a "Q"., lesss you spell like me, then who the hell knows i dont spell like me , least not twice in a row. but thata be cool, u spell qundra like you do. guess i might spelll qndray "sue".
Sue I think many of us wonder about that line, but as you say we have an obligation to ourselves to write as we feel, it is the nature of our very essence as word artists, and so there really is no quandry?? Write on, and I hope you find the right shoes.

This book summarizes life's ten toughest tests with ten passwords each to pass these tests. The current overload, speed of change and chaos are all summarized well enough to get to the Land of Simple on the other side quicker than usual.
