For Scada (It Doesn't Have to be Lonely)

Little sister, it’s such a long lonely walk down this dark hall
So many agonizing echoes from regretful pasts
So many haunting faces leering from foggy windows
Grimacing in pain or leering in delight
They peer out from every doorway
Laughing at our confusion and offering no consolation
Feeding the fires of our insecurities with fuel
Drained from our bleeding hearts
And yet we have to keep walking, keep moving
To stop would give them so much satisfaction
Fresh meat for life’s grinders, fresh blood for
The emotional vampires they call bureaucracy
They live to see us crushed, hon, they want to see you fold
Just remember that we have to keep walking
But we never have to walk alone
I’ll walk by your side anytime you need me
Take time if time is what you need
Take solitude if it makes it easier to handle
But don’t ever take yourself away
It would make the walk unbearable for the rest of us
and my life would be so much less without you

Sue...

Scada is truly blessed to have such a friend in you. As I know you are blessed to have her in your life. True friends, die hard to the end friends, are life's greatest gift.
Take care.. both of you.

I can't seem to find words to tell you how I'm feeling right now. You know how to make me feel loved and needed like no one else ever could. I'll be ok, I've been here before, and I always somehow land on my feet. Thank you for the beautiful words, and for being you. Love you,

Scada

An excellent write Sue...this is a write directed at someone and it still comes out with powerful heartfelt truth and emotion. That is what heals...that is what gives you that special ability to provide assistance. The message is clear and I hope she can see that light within it. As it is truly genuine.
