There are only two promises That our Lord Jesus Christ gave Eternal Life is given Through the Cross that did save The former is the last And the latter is the first We must take up our crosses daily If eternity is heaven our thirst For those who are last are first And those who are first are last Life eternal is promised, not in this world Our God is Present, not past And Jesus also promised the Holy Spirit Would help to guide us on the Father’s Way First to carry our own crosses Then to meet the Father on that Everlasting Day.
