Just a new year, she sighed. So what?. Just a new calendar, just a new page. Just a time to take down a tree. Just a reminder I am still me.
Just a holiday like any other, he sighed. Just another day to resolve. Just a Monday, Tuesday, whatever. Just more hours going to waste.
Just as a newborn is just a baby. Just as a friend is just a companion. Just as a flower is made up of petals. Just as birds are feathers and beaks.
Just a day when we can start afresh. Just a day when the sky is the limit. Just another time to reach out a hand. Just another touch gives sweet release.
Just another door that goes in and out. Just the feel of sun, rain, or snow. Just a way to get ourselves off our duffs. Just a reminder to pray for peace.
Just another day to play and remember.. Just another day that follows December. Just another day to reject or hold dear. Just the day to say, Happy New Year!!

It may be just a day, gut... a day can be a turning point for whole sections of years that may not be all that importand but nice to get to end of progress too.
