Sometimes the blackness
It seeps through my soul
Leaving me so empty
Alone in the cold
My screams are silent
Where no one can hear
The clock ticks on
My demons draw near
Then a grand-child whispers
Nan, please kiss me goodnight
And I watch a new mother
Hold her babe save and tight
So I think to myself
Is this old world so bad
I must open my eyes more
So I won’t feel so sad
Sometimes the silence
Makes a deafening sound
Where heartbreak and tears
Can only be found
I feel I am falling
Life is rushing on by
As the dark shadows of night
Echo my cry
In an old photo album
I somehow forgot that I had
I see all of my old memories
Some are good and some are bad
Now if I kept a scorecard
Of the world that I've walked thru
I guess I'd count myself lucky
For all the happiness I knew.

I enjoyed this collaboration Linda. Your poet friend is an excellent writer; who knows how to express his emotions on paper. And I know must be empathic also. God bless B.M.

That just about sums up most of our situation. We like to dwell on the sad and depressive parts of out life because most of us strive for the good old pats on the head trouble brings. Wjoever Felix Perry is, you and he were complimentary to the other.

A positive outcome for the depressed to keep in mind, this I know from personal experience. Good expression and a cool collaboration. Fine job you two.
