Lady, I know how you feel
And I know your roads long
I walked it myself
When I wasn't as strong
It stretched on forever
I grew tired and weak
I couldn't find any sunshine
The sky was so bleak

Do you really know the demons
That hide in the night
Can you see the shadows
That haunt in day light
Do you really understand
Do you feel my fears
Do you see the mask I wear
Behind all these tears

Yes, it's not easy lady
It's a real struggle to get by
Seems no body loves you
Or cares if you cry
I got tired and weary too
When your path I walked
Refused good advice
And even refused to talk

Yes, maybe you do understand
The horrors that I feel
The pain that lives within my heart
The ghosts that seem so real
Can you really comprehend
This empty vacuum I feel inside
Like the inner core of me
Has silently, quietly died

Yes, there should be a roadmap
To show you the way
A tour guide or a leader
So too far you won't stray
There is a faint hope
Through a ray of sunshine
You need to give life a chance
Before you give out of time

You are right, tomorrow is not promised
And I know I can't give in to fate
I know I must rise above this
I just pray it's not too late
Sometimes my world gets dark
Not one ray of light shines through
But maybe there is hope for me
With caring friends like you

Ok, let's walk awhile together
To shorten the trip
Let's shoulder our troubles
And get a new grip
We can find us some laughter
Or even a grin
'Till it's time to part way's
That way we'll both win

Reminds me of Song of Songs, except it's not color coded in the Bible.....which isn't such a bad idea I think.
