I never saw her angel wings
Or a halo above her head
But I felt the love of Jesus
In every word she said
I never saw the Lord by her side
But I know that he was there
I could feel His spirit upon her
When she bowed her head in prayer

I loved to hear her stories
Looking back through the years
She raised ten wonderful children
Wiping noses and drying tears
She would talk of all the changes
She'd seen in her life
And the struggles and the joys
Of being a Mother and a wife

Jesus saw that she was weary
As He reached down for her hand
He gave her a special place in Heaven
Hoping her family would understand
This woman touched me deeply
She was a saint in my eyes
A small, gentle grey haired woman
But an angel in disguise

Oh Linda I can feel the love and respect you had for this woman it comes out from your heart in this write that is a tribute beyond merit for your wonderful friend. Though I am sorry for you loss, I feel you know that she is finally at rest in a better place and can take comfort in that thought.
