Poem Artwork

I cry for the sick children
Who can't run or play
Looking out their window
To just another day
I cry for the lonely
They know who they are
And for that sad, broken
Man crying in a bar
I cry for the homeless
Sleeping in the cold
For the man who lost his wife
No one to hold
I cry for the Mother
Searching for her child
For the disabled men and women
Who's forgotten how to smile
I cry for that lost soul
Holding a gun to his head
Despair feels his heart
He'd rather be dead
I cry for the hungry
The depressed and sad
For the tears of a child
Who's just lost her dad
I cry for the people who are
Struggling with pain
For the hearts that are broken
And going insane
I cry for the babies
Who won't be born tonite
Because someone thought
Abortion was right
I cry for our country
The red, white and blue
Praise for our veterans
Is long overdue
I cry for the Sept.11th horror
That brought us to our knees
For the suffering and the hurting
May God hear our pleas

The message of this poem is so broad and far-reaching it has to touch the hearts and souls of all reading it. It certainly did mine--brought chills up and down my spine. What a wonderful write, Linda--and so very very sad.

The soul that crys in this mortal vessel is a soul the Father hears and watches over. Thank you once more for the lining you show of your heart and compassion.

Peace,
Joselyn

Many scholars of the Bible tell us that this is Satan's world. But they also tell us that the days of his system of things are numbered.

I Cry is a soulful piece that focuses our attention on these many tragedies of our time. It's an honest, truthful piece. And my heart grieves for the suffering all around us. But I've cried enough for one lifetime. I place the world and my future in God's hands and await the day of paradise.

This is a good write, Linda. It's well that you reposted it. God bless you.

He always hears and feels your sorrow. I hope you can find comfort in his plan. The sadness of the world around us we all may feel and most times it does make little sense. The only hope I find to help is in sharing with others those feelings. Then I count my own blessing each day for even the smallest of comfort that may do not know at this time in their life. A good write and thoughts felt. Lady J
