Oh, why is Mommy gone?
My Daddy say's you took her -
That she's never coming home.

God, the new's is everywhere.
About these men hijacking the planes
as they were in the air.
Now I lay me down to sleep -
Why couldn't they let Mommy go -
My Life will never be the same -
Oh God - I miss her so!
Now I lay me down to sleep -
I'm too young to understand -
How so much destruction and hate
can be made by any man.
Now I lay me down to sleep -
God, how many others are on their knees
Praying for a lost loved one?
Oh God, reach down an help them- please!
Now I lay me down to sleep -
Dear God, our FLAG still stands!
They may have took my Mommy -
But this is still the Promised Land!
God, take care of my Mommy -
I pray the Lord her soul to keep -
Put your healing arms around America, Lord
Now I lay me down to sleep.....
Authors Note: I know this happened a
long time ago, but the horror will never
be forgotten. So many people left in
limbo ...so many children left without
a parent. Sometimes it's harder for the
one left behind.

So sadly, No, not so long ago..I applaud your rememberance!!! I wish more would remember!!!So many, to many have forgotten. To many have gone on, back to the way life for "them" "JUST" as it was before..even in thier hearts. And it will never be "back" to the same as before for many..It is still that day for many, or the next.. but it is long from being long ago. Rembrance, is IMPORTANT!! THANK YOU!!!!

Now i Lay Me Down to Sleep ... This is realy sad ... the world is suffering so badly ... and you mentioned this is BCoz of hijacking of planes ... What happened was not Hijacking ... it was a real terrorism ... War against the Beautiful World ... War to destroy the good ONES ... Still Evils Roam hear and there ... Still Hijacking ... If it was just a Hijacking .. then WTC would have still be there ... LOT of men ... women ... childres ... old and all would have never lost their lives ... Most of the world still suffer from this evil devils and there are countries which support Terrorism a lot ... Terrorism is the real Devil which eat up the world ... Wish the countries which support teorrism stop this ... sothat the world get a better morning to think off ...

Yes Linda, our country still suffers from the pain and agony caused by the attack. It seems like yesterday to me. And to a child
who hasn't mastered control of time, it
may seem the same way. But you have stated this so well. How the small child feels in this world that wants to gobble up everyone and bring destruction. What a thoughtful poem you have written. Hugs Bill
Linda, a long time ago? It's not been a year yet,,and I myself hope that the world remembers it for much longer than that. When we forget, and let it go,,they are going to attack again, just to remind us that they can. They were sure we thought we were untouchable, and guess what? They were right, maybe not the older people but the younger ones truly felt that way, I hope we never forget again! Great write Linda,,,Lisa
