On and empty canvas before life begun
The Lord in His wisdom painted the sun
He mixed colors with red's and blue
He painted a rose with droplets of dew
With colorful strokes He made the trees
Decorated with the beauty of the leaves
He carefully painted each grain of sand
Added the sky with a stroke of His hand
He molded the mountains majestic to see
With gentle waves He painted the sea

On and empty canvas we start our day
We are given every color to display
It is our choice, the life we choose
We decide on the red's or the blue's
Do we color our world with happiness
Or do we convey our tears and sadness
Do we waste the hours that we live
Or do we paint the joy that God gives
Each brand new morning we start anew
And empty canvas from God to you..
