Jesus, Hold this child in your embrace~
Envelope him in your Heavenly grace.
His name is Zack..He's almost three ~
Lord...he's so sick...he's just a baby.
Cancer has invaded him ..his body is sore~
He's growing weary....He don't play anymore.
Lord, send down your angels to be with him tonite~
To hold his hand and comfort him intill the day light.
He's trying to be a brave child, but he hurts inside~
He retreats within himself...wanting to hide.
Jesus, send the angels to help get him through~
Intill You are ready to carry him with You.
Don't let this child suffer ... be with him I pray~
Oh , How I wish I could take his pain away!
Jesus, send down your angels..cling to his hand..
He is just too small to fully understand.
May the angels sing to him a blessed song of love~
Jesus, send down your power from up above.
Be with this little child ..don't let him hurt anymore~
He should not have to suffer to reach Heavens door.
Amen

Zack Hostad is almost three. He has cancer in his liver...spleen and lungs. I have written several tributes for him if you wish to go back and read them. He is in alot of pain now....Hospice is coming in regularly and giving him Morphine. It has helped with the pain. Lets all keep praying for this precious little boy. He has my heart. Monday they are bringing in a hospital bed for him. Pray! Pray! Pray! for this brave little boy, and the family who is trying so hard to be strong. Beth , his grandmother...Becky..his mom...Mike, his Dad...and Jake his baby brother....are all in our prayers. God bless.

I read this after the fact... My heart is in turmoil, just thinking of the great loss that Zack's family feels. But, he is no longer in pain, he has a new, healthy body in Christ. He is happy looking down on his family, and will be there waiting for you all. Keep your faith in the Lord, that is where you will find your true comfort. In His Love, Inez

No such thing as too much compassion my friend...just keep on writing...the world and those whom suffer in it need your words, and depend on your compassion...your abundance of compassion makes up somewhat for many that have little understanding of what it means to care!

My dear Linda,

What more can I say about your talent. You have been able to say exactly what we, as Zack's family, feel.

He is on a continuous Morphine drip, now, with Becky and Mike being able to give 1/2 mg "jolts" every 30 minutes when the pain is extremely bad. I pray that God does not let him suffer. I thank you, my dear friend, from the bottom of my broken heart for the words that I feel which are the words you have written. Each time you write a new poem for my grandson, tears fall. You are one of the most compasionate people I know. God Bless you Linda Hill and Thanks!!(((hugs))).

Your poetry and prayers for this wonderful
child of God are tearing the heart out of
me. I can't read what you write without
getting very emotional and praying along
with the others who read this. I know very
little about life, but I know miracles are
possible and I pray that right now God
touches this child and heals him. In the
name of Jesus! Heal this child. Give Zack
a chance ... like you gave me a chance and
Linda Mae and others. In Jesus name. Hugs
Bill
