I've often wondered about you
As the years flew swiftly by
We lost touch after high school
I can't remember a good bye
I hoped that you were happy
That life to you was kind
I wished for you all the joy
You'd ever hope to find

Our high school years busy
You were my best friend
One never without the other
We never thought it would end
Secrets, laughter and classes
Wondering how our lives would go
Where we'd each wind up
Neither of us could know

I was checking out Facebook
And I happened to see your name
Not really thinking it was YOU
But I hoped just the same
How thrilled when you wrote
There was laughter and tears
God brought us back together
After all these years
For all the bad that comes of Internet use, there are ten time as many benefits...at least. Connecting with a friend from way back like you have was unlikely before, and...like the song I learned in Girl Scouts [a thousand years ago], "Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver, the other gold!" Hard to keep 'em with everybody moving all the time, but...hurrah for the Web. Two of YOU!!

I love this poem, I reunited with one of my friends from Childhood via facebook myself, my then best friend Chalise, it was a blessing chatting with her once again!!! And now I am even planning on a reunion!!! Thank you for sharing!!
