A trip to the beach with our grandson was golden inspiration to all of us.....

Poem Artwork

There’s magic beside the ocean, you know,
Like nothing you ever did see.
Sandcastles grow in the sand near the shore,
As the tide slowly ebbs to the sea.

Warm sunbeams touch the soft white sand,
As hermit crabs scurry around,
Neptune summons the tide to the deep,
Leaving snails and seaweed aground.

Sand still damp from the ocean’s caress,
Begins to morph right away,
Castles of every size and shape,
Develop throughout the day!

And when the sun begins to set,
The tide returns to the shore,
And just like they were never there,
The sandcastles are no more!

Goodness, it is the best place I can think of to be and used to spend much time at the beach with my children. I think they forgot what clothes were for because they were always running around in bathing suits waiting for me to come home from work.

Be always safe,
Karen
