A little Christmas fun for children....and kittens!

Poem Artwork

The kitten crouched beneath the tree
Eyes aglow with kitten glee!
Lots of presents with pretty bows
Toys for a kitten with a busy nose!
Soft little paws, with sharp little claws
Pulling on ribbons just because!
And every time the dog goes by,
The crouching kitten seems to try
To scare the poor thing out of his skin
By jumping out in front of him!
Then dashing back to his hidey place
The kitten sits to wash his face.
He’s tired out; it’s easy to see
Cause now he’s asleep beneath the tree.
All cuddled up on a big red gift,
Off to dreamland the kitty drifts!
But after his nap, he’s sure to be
Playing games again beneath the tree!

Put a smile on my face. I had a lot of fun with my ferrets back when, too. They'd climb up in there. Hugs,
Sheila

My dog used to love to be under the tree, especially when i had a live one. Still miss my Little Joy. But have a cat Thomasino, but she does not bother the tree at all.

Nice kitty. The cartoon strip "Mutts" has been doing a Christmas carol series with ghost cat of Christmas' past. This reminds me of that. Patrick

Don't have a cat, never had a cat, but this one sure sounds cute as can be. Sweet poem, my dear friend. Glad your children and grand child are on their way and I do wish all of your family a wonderful Christmas.
Mark
