Children are pure magic.........and even though, as his grandmother, I may be a little biased...my grandson is the most enchanting human being I've ever encountered! I love you Max....

Poem Artwork

Twice he tapped his shiny cane
And said some magic words,
The crowd of children watched in awe
Not a single sound could be heard!
A little boy with eyes of blue
The magician’s aide that night,
Squeezed inside the magic box
Arms and legs squished tight!
He was supposed to disappear
But the magic spell went wrong.
Only the little boy’s head remained
The rest of him was gone!
The magician began to panic,
What a state he was in!
Until the little boy explained
He’d played a trick on him!
“Let that teach you a lesson,”
The boy said with a wink.
“Even kids can do magic tricks,
Cause we’re smarter than you think”!

I like the illusion of the head only. Sort of like the lady getting sawed in half. Cool poem. Patrick

Very clever poem, there, kiddo. Strange this would come up today because my daughter sent three pictures of my seven year old granddaughter that peeled the hair from her hairbrush and, (1) taped it onto her face making a beard, then (2) beneath her arm giving herself a hairy armpit then, (3) onto her chest. Very funny kid, my granddaughter.

As Durante used to say, Everybody wants to get into the act.
And I'll bet your grandson improved the act. Love this, Annabel.

This is pure delight, Anna!

You know, I had a real magician do a party here once and they pulled the rabbit from a hat, the whole bit, but the last act involved something pretty scary...fire...amazing.
Blessings,
Christine

Kind of a dirty trick I'd say. Was the magician performing before a crowd? Not taking anything away from your grandson, but still . . .
