Wise and invincible you were the best Dad
You saw me through all the good times and the bad
You sheltered me from all manners of foe
Keeping me safe and watching me grow

You were a teacher without all the rules
Instilling in me life’s essential tools
You guided me along til I could stand on my own
Knowing one day I’d leave you alone
