Promises, Promises (August 10, 2010) So we met and you told me That you’ve been waiting for me All your life (all your life) I believed all these words and Thought that you were the one and Now I know (now I know) It was all a lie Promises, promises Are only promises You never intend to keep You think that your flattery Will get you in bed with me But that’s never gonna be So might as well stop it, drop it Cause you’ll never get with me So you told me you love me That you would never leave me No good-byes (no good-byes) And I thought that was real That our love was the seal Made for life (made for life) Forever you’re mine Promises, promises Are only promises You never intend to keep You think that your flattery Will get you in bed with me But that’s never gonna be So might as well stop it, drop it Cause you’ll never get with me If you wanted to get A girl into your pants Should have thought of that Before you made your plans Cause I’m not that kind of girl Things with me will not unfurl And no matter what you say to me I will never fall for your flattery Promises, promises Are only promises You never intend to keep You think that your flattery Will get you in bed with me But that’s never gonna be So might as well stop it, drop it Cause you’ll never get with me © 2010 by Lena Kovadlo.

I like the brutal truth of this one, how you are not afraid to say what is on your mind. Promises aren't always kept and vows of love aren't always life long...well done Lena.
