Its about dad's wish for his son.

Take the baton from me

As I grow old my son,

Tke the baton from me.

You must win this race.

You must win this relay.

You must succeed in life .

You must follow my footsteps.

Take the baton from me.

Be responsible.

Be mature.

You are now ,man enough.

Playing with the teddies ,

Should now be a thing of the past.

Have wisdon to make decisions.

Follow my footsteps of being kind and hardworking.

A man, should not sleep all day.

A man ,should fend for his family.

A man, should support his off-springs.

A man, should know the survival skills.

A man, should earn an earnest dollar.

As I grow old my son,

Take the baton from me,

To win this relay,

You must avoid drugs and binge drinking.

Avoid being a gangster.

Listen carefully ,my  son,

Your mother, should be your beacon.

Your wife, should be your  best  friend.

Don't dare ,smack your wife,

It is cowardice,

Barbaric and a sign of weakness,

Your children are second to non.

They deserve the best.

As I grow old, my son,

Take the baton from me.

Take my words seriously.

They are not half baked.

You must win this relay.

You must work like a slave ,to live like aking.

Know it for sure that one day,

I shall disappear from the face of this world.

I want to leave you a winner,

In this relay, so called life.

Take the baton from me and run the relay,

Whilst I am still able to groom you.

Whilst I am still able to monitor you.

As I grow old my son , death is certain.

Take the baton from me now and run the race.

It is all yours ,my darling.

Such words of wisdom from a loving father. And hopefully your son will pass the baton to his son..and so on.
