A friend of mine from HighSchool recently told me her troubles and altho it was sad...she made it sound funny...and it was honest!

Poem Artwork

She wants a man...not just any man
Please God, make him tall and smart, with a tan
Oh yes...A hearing aid is fine, a beer gut will do
If he can't see without glasses, that's cool too....
Please God, let him have a wallet that's full and fat
I know... she said, "It's okay if he's not all that!"

Love came and went, just like a flash
The kids ran me ragged, grew up and left their trash
I worked, paid all the bills and now I have zero
Please God, it's time he snags me while I'm still here-O!

She wants a man...not just any man
Gorgeous and fun with more than a few grand
I need a face lift, a tuck here and there
but Gucci and Versace I don't need to wear

Please God, let him let me carry his wallet for him
I know...she said..."This isn't just a whim"
Love doesn't have to come... Like will do just fine
Please God, I'll hug him, spend his money, make him mine

She wants a man... not just any man
Okay..I'm selfish, I'm bad, you won't be my fan
Just remember I've lived hard...I deserve someone good
Remember he's not perfect, he won't change if he could
Please God..bring us together while we are both ALIVE..

Lol I enjoyed this poem! It's relatable, I could imagine two girlfriends talking on the phone late at night about being lonely and "any man will do" I liked the concept a lot.

Put a BIG grin on my face! sometimes, when we're in the "evening" of our lives, anything solid to lean on is welcome! A very well expressed write!

a fat wallet is nice...there is no doubt about that
it's better than a heart of thorns-thats for sure
I think a fat wallet means he has good work ethics & a strong sense of responsibility...them tall dark & tannly handsomes have thin wallets because they are out chasing cats :)& callin off work anyway
Loved The Poem...I Hope She Finds Her Man!!

GREAT write, but I'm afraid I would have to be picky in whom I choose to be my mate. He'd have to be open, honest, a Christian not afraid to profess his faith, and not think of just one thing. (S-E-X) Well done!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

Karla and I both love that drawing; you're very talented! :)

LOL! Too funny, Linda. Any man will do? Nah...I'm a bit more picky. The only thing I ask is that he's not mean.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Love it, and yea when you feel like you are carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders you dont' tend to be as picky as to who you allow to help carry the load.
