My mate teases me about not dressing for snow or rain, or heat, or the woods, or the beach, or the store....Since I retired from the corporate world...I've chucked all that conservative, professional style. I love driving him nutz....:-))

              ENTERTAINMENT CENTER
                 poem by:  LInda Law

It's freezing outside, the snow is high and oh so cold
Those slinky shoes are not practical, I was told
My dear, it's humid, it's hot, what's that you have on?
Oh honey, it covers my tush, my cleavage it's not a thong

Aren't these mountains great for exercise and hiking?
I can't darlin'...I forgot my sneakers; wasn't thinking...
No sneakers? There's foliage, rocks, and you can fall
My sandals with gemstones, and heels make me look tall

You didn't say I'd have to walk, I'd rather shop til I drop
Walking and sweating, hiking and swimming--Please stop!
Honey, you want to do what? Shop? We're going rafting...
Oh precious..you said we'd be checking out local crafting,

Tinker Bell, it's raining, storming, Don't slip on the floor..
But honey, where's the umbrella?..just drop me at the door
My makeup will smudge and I'll look so yuck...
Everyone knows me I'll  just stay in the truck...

Why can't you wear a warm coat when it's cold...
Cover your feet with more than painted toes...
Sneakers are cool, with jeans and a T-shirt
Why must you wear those little tank tops..

Don't you know that all I see when I look at you
Is the love of my life...my own Entertainment Center?

Relax, and enjoy life to the fullest. Do the things that you haven't had the chance to do while you were working. It's great to be alive, just because of yourselves! Never mind about the shoes, and the heels! Heeeheee!!!

I love it Linda, and you are so right and not just women are guilty of this too for men's vanity can also tend to lead us astray...as in I don't need a coat and then shivering and turning blue when the night falls the temp. lol
hugs
