Honor goes where others fear to tread
Speaks softly to the broken heart
Fears not to wake the dead.
Honor roars when principal defied
Disdains the truth- and evil’s multiplied.
Think what you will, honor doesn’t care,
Cares not for selfish pride— and will not share
His burden – all things bears--he perseveres.
Honor bound-- does what he must
To lay the foe of good in dust.
At Valley Forge he bent to pray
In fields of sand he stands today,
In classrooms ‘cross this lov′ed land
Honor does the best he can
To disarm evil dressed in garb
Of ridicule—of witty barbs,
Who laugh at their own jokes and drool
O're popularity with fools.
He braves the ruthless marketplace
And will not bend -- his name disgrace
By lies and fraud as others do,
Honor stands tall—Honor is you.
Honor is me, honor is all humanity
Can be when honed by grating steel
Of adversity—the potters wheel.
When choice is made that: “though
I bleed, I will be true to higher deeds”
I will do right and see it through
Disdain the cost--the one, the few,
who gather freedom in his hand
to tread the soil of a better land,
