Luring the traveler straight to his doom, the Pooka haunts the thickening gloom... clop-ta-clop, clop-ta-clop, A small shaggy pony wandring the fen, where phantom lights glower and dance on the wind.... clop-ta-clop, clop-ta-clop, If ever you meet him turn hard away or led by his guile you'll soon go astray... clop-ta-clop, clop-ta-clop, chasing the nightmare into the fog, over the cliff-face and into a bog... clop-ta-clop, clop-ta-clop, think of your children when tempted to go out 'cross the heather where fey shadows grow... CLOP-TA-CLOP, CLOP-TA-CLOP, CLOP-TA-CLOP, CLOP-TA-CLOP, CLOP-TA-CLOP, CLOP-TA-CLOP, CLOP!

thee glens of heather
laced in fog as bold as the bog
into the enchanted haunt of your poem
