Mighty Zog with demon-blade Came from the haunted hills His eyes were cold as winter moons They burned you with their stare. His shirt was red with blood, Wagging tongues could not be still, His wounds were ghastly fair But he smiled and drank his fill.
Then one brave soul dare ask him What fey spirit he had fought, What creature spawned in darkness Had tried to eat his heart. He shook his head, none of these Had nearly claimed his life. He’d quarreled with his woman; Zog had a mighty wife.
