'Tis the Season

Every year I come back here;
in search of things misplaced-
Heart and Soul; Love and Caring;
'tis the season of giving and sharing

Chorus of holiday tunes ring out;
while Santa listens to all-
Houses lit with lights aglow-
dancing upon blankets of snow

Drummer boys and Nativity scenes;
Rudolf pulling the sleigh-
Angels hover above each tree;
in celebration of Christ's birthday

Decorative ornaments silver and gold;
red, blue and green-
Reading stories to the sleepless child;
in hopes they'll find a dream

Candy canes and treats galore;
shopping late in toy stores-
Wrapping paper; Ribbons and bows;
wool socks to warm the toes

Miracles and magic; Prayers for peace;
hoping for a Christmas white-
Listening in wonderment for that jolly 'ol voice;
Merry Christmas to all; And to all a Good Night
