I sit before the keys

and stretch my

hands and mind

Thoughts tumble

and fall

Not on paper,

but to the floor

Somedays I soar

while on others

I do not fly at all

I am a dodo bird

chained to my earthly

nest, all snug

and warm;

so very dull
