'She called and said she no longer needed him.'

Poem Artwork

Somewhere beyond where the light goes

Somewhere beyond where the dark breathes

Somewhere this day where hearts don't beat

She called and said she no longer needed him.

She gave no reason, said her moments were taken

Taken in the dead of night along with their memories

He started crying as he tried to wrap all her remaining

moments around him.

He wanted to touch her one last time as he pictured her

in his mind - as people watched; no sympathy, they

only stared; tears ran down his face and gathered the

remaining love he still had for her.

And his tears ran and ran; no end as they lingered on

Then they began to freeze in the winter's air; began to

crystalize - everything now had become clear to him

Let her go! Let her go! In this bitter world that he knew.

For soon everything would be changing - in a single glance

A new love would come along, from a place where it all

enchants; and every hope that he had would be worth saving

No more crying, no more tears, no more thinking about her.

Now every moment, he spent making himself better; the

time he spent thinking about her soon diminished - and

oneday he found someone new, and it seemed she had

been waiting there; in life, if you believe, it will happen!

Our dreams and believing keep are lonely hearts beating.
Some days we think we shall always be alone...But sometimes we need to alone and as we wait our Sir Lancelot (or Maid Marion) finds us.

Hello Robert,

The emotional transition leaves me breathless...from tears to hope to joy in a new found love. (Been there.) "A new love will come along...in life, if you believe, it will happen!" The photo makes your poem perfect!

If she didn't need you then you don't need her. Onward and forward my friend. Better things await you.

Lance,
Sometimes we need the tears and pain for they are healing. Sometimes we need the memories for they will always be with you. In time, the memories won't be so intense, or have the power to hurt you. In time you will have the healing of mind and soul and when you meet the girl of your dreams I hope she deserves you. Stay strong, my friend. Stay strong...

Blessings and hugggs,
~Linda
