Opponent:
I’m an outsider and here’s what I’ll do
I’m gonna make things better for you.
Incumbent:
That’s a cute rhyme, but give us some specifics. What would you do that’s different from what I’m doing?
Opponent:
If you gotta ask, you don’t know the price
Look at your record, it aint very nice.
Incumbent:
You’ve told us nothing. Get specific so we can all know what you’re talking about.
Opponent:
Anything you can do, I can do better. I can do anything better than you.
Yes I can! Yes I can! Yes I ca-a-a-a-a-an!
Incumbent:
I think my opponent is caught in a time warp. Sir, it’s 2012. Wake up.
Opponent:
To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune…
Incumbent:
Sir, your “stream of consciousness” is not making any sense. Are you on drugs?
Opponent:
I’ll have none of your evasions;
you run away while I lead invasions.
Incumbent:
My record speaks for itself. I’ve kept us out of wars, while you would take us into another.
Opponent:
Now is the time for all good men to take this country back.
Vote for me and you’re on the right track.
Incumbent:
Sir, you’ve changed your positions so many times, you’re the all-time champion of flip flop.
Opponent:
Equal pay for equal work,
That’s a lotta bull for a whole lotta jerks
I’ll make it up in lots more perks
Incumbent:
Whatever.

For my part, let me just say that this is a clever and interesting piece that I find quite true, although I know many others would disagree based on their various ideologies.
