A Sonnet to Thee
Our lips have never met and yet
We have kissed passionately
Because our souls have touched;
We never strolled along the beach at sunset
While holding hands and dreaming
Still you are the one I dream about
Where sand and oceans meet;
And that distant horizon beckons
Because I know you are somewhere
Out there with open arms while
Gently motioning to hasten the day
When our hearts and our bodies intertwine;
And we share that eternal moment
When we link our spirits as one.
...truly remarkable sonnet; the juxtaposition of both extended metaphorical fancy and spiritual high...intertwined with romantic attraction full of memorable lines. Love it.
I really enjoyed this. Short and sweet and speaks of love missing, hoping, and reaching out. There is a soul mate or two or more out there for everyone. I met mine as you know.
