Iridescent bubbles, born of simple water and soap,
Exist only for a moment in their journey of hope.
Docile breezes, their only form of assitance,
Provide their brief airborne promenade of existence.
The untouchable spheres float without formation
As each seizes its exquiste moment of duration.
Floating in gentle zephyrs, smiles appear on faces
As children run about in sweet, but futile chases.
Momentarily, they mesmerize minds and eyes
Before they bid their unuttered goodbyes.
Simply delightful, Wanda. I once wrote a poem calle, "Childhood and Bubbles." The theme was about how quickly childhood vanishes. I love your poem. Thank you for sharing it. Love and best wishes,
If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
