Mister Wind has many a child
Some are tame and some are wild
Breeze is sweet
Her touch a treat
Gale is wild
A problem child
Zephyr is gentle
A lot like Yentl
Hurricane’s insane
He rages with Rain
Tornado is erratic
Destructive and pathetic
Cyclone is a long lost and lonely cause
Gives my brain a blip of a pause
Typhoon is psychotic
His plans make me sick
Mister Wind
Your children
Need discipline
Silly it may be, but I liked it. I would let thewind and it's elements carry me away. But I'd stay safe out of Hurricane's path, but like the rain coming from it, Tornado is scarey, have nothing to do with it, the rest I haven't experienced and hope to never.

That sure is an unexpected picture for this time of year considering where you live; not where I do! I like any poetry about theWind and theWeather. Karla's the pro on skies! I hope to do some wind/weather Poems in '09 - PS: blew up that pic of your "house in the woods" from your christmas poem (on my desktop) Still can't see your house! And I thought I live in a forest! Every child need to be though to behave
But when teaching discipline we must also show love
And understanding!

Delightful insight into variation of juvenile personalities. In other words, my friend, "you got that right." The potential wrapped up in every child is beyond our ability to imagine, and every one of them deserves a parent who strives for excellence in managing "the wind."
Different but very good. I just wish I had those thighs... **sigh**.

I agree with Michelle; this would be great in a childhood environmental education program. I love the delightful, light-hearted 'feel' to this. It's fun to read aloud.

We may yet learn to tame this beast and harness its energy to meet the challenge of a wilder beast called Global Warming. This write evokes some wild imaginations on possible alternative sources of energy if we only know how to tap them. Thank you and God Bless Reg, my friend.

Excellant write and love the images it stirs up, last winter I did a voice-over for a commercial on Emergency Preparedness and my part was Mr. Hurricane and yea the winds sure needed to be disciplined. lol
So many people try being friends instead of parents and children are out of control Disapline is a form of love maybe one of the most important so they grow as straight as a tree and as strong.
