My love is at home in the woods
She is a friend of wolves
She dreams of a tepee
On a mountain knoll
High above the river
Where eagles fly
And wild swans go by
Birds and butterflies surround her
My love talks to the wind
And reads the clouds
She touches the stars
And tastes snowflakes
She summons rainbows
And paints them in stormy skies
Thus she beckons back the sun
My love prays in cathedral groves
She communicates with The Creator
Meditating among ancient giants
Their spirit speaks to her
My love is lovelier than wild lilies
And sweeter than violets
My love reclines among lupines
And Indian paintbrush
In alpine meadows
She basks in golden sunlight
And bathes in silver moonlight
Thus glowing she comes to me
She is a wonder
And yet she walks in humility
With such grace and beauty
She does not appear to know
She possesses
My love is at home with the wild and the free
And I am blessed that my love loves me
Sounds as if you'd like to have a natural girl to love, one that loves yellow roses even.....one that's serene, calm endearing to you and one that will always love you forever!.
Hmmm, not sayin' I am your love mind ya, but you described all that I hold dear. I am often in nature, I am a Pagan... a.k.a a country dweller for those who are not aware. Respect and love nature, spirit has given us so much beauty those who are so busy wanting material things truly miss "true beauty"

So many splendid images in this one, and such a tender-sweet mood, make it one of the most enjoyable love poems I have read in a long while. Fine writing, Regis, fine writing indeed.
