I will second John Domino Regis. I don't know much about relationships to be honest but I feel if you follow his advice, you will rejoice again! I pray you find your joy and peace back. I think that to search is human nature. For me, at least, there is no end to my journey, even if I should reach all of my goals. Venture on and know that if it is meant to be, it will happen. Life is not about the destination, it is about the journey. We never know what will happen and as a rule, things don't happen as we planned, anyway, so enjoy the journey, This way, there is not a lot of disappointment if we are unable to achieve our goal. The best stories are always about the journey, anyway.
Wonderful reflections on how things used to be. My first wife died of cancer. For over a year I was sad, mad and confused. Then a friend told me to write down ALL the qualities I want in a woman. I thought I went overboard because I ask for 21 qualities. We got together with my prayer partners and prayed over the list. In less than 10 days in walks this long-legged blonde into my life. She knocked my socks off! That was over 25 years ago and we are still going strong. BTW God granted my request but added much more to the candy store! Try it my friend, what do you have to lose?
