My mother got me in touch with my first grade girlfriend some years ago. We've lost touch since then and I seem to have forgotten her name (Mary Ellen?). But a high school classmate who was unknown to me at that time and didn't attend our 2011 reunion, has connected with me and we have exchanged many emails. If I was in the marketplace, I'm sure she would be available and agreeable.



By the way… She has never sent her picture. Perhaps that's why I didn't know her in high school. A widow with two children, she and her daughters are successfully in business together.

For each of us there is always that one person who has that effect on us and rejuvenates our lives & souls.

I have always considered someone like that as a lucky penny or a living good luck charm & when their presence is in our lives we experience a period of good luck & success and we feel like were on the magic carpet ride of our lives, life is just that amazing when folks like her around us.

Good poem, Regis...I especially liked the stanza where all the lines began with a "Re" word. Yhr repetition strengthens the force of what you are trying to say.
