Through the Looking Glass

At last the portal of dreams leads me to Alice
I offer her the sweetness of my love’s full chalice
Together we look through the charmed looking glass
It is as though we see what will come to pass
We seem to become dizzy with wild desires
Needs that spread like uncontrolled wild fires
Desires to know and to feel what may come about
Our excitement mounts and we start to shout
Our voices echo through this mystical forest
Perhaps we ought to give ourselves a much needed rest
For at this moment in time we really know nothing
Safe for the feelings and that special something
That never fails to erupt from nowhere and always
When we two choose to return to our childhood ways

AND DON'T WE ALL GO TO THAT LOOKING GLASS AT TIMES? SOMETIMES WE SEE WHAT WE WANT TO AND ENJOY IT AND THEN AGAIN, WE SEE WHAT WE DON'T WANT TO AND WE PUT IT DOWN. IN ANY CASE, WE'VE ALL BEEN THERE. THANKS FOR SHARING, REGIS, I LOVE THE RHYME SEQUENCE AND STYLE. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS.

Smooth and full of lines that make me wish they were mine. "Needs that spread like uncontrolled wild fires." May peace and love be always with you.

In the looking glass, what else did you see will come pass?
I guess it is that feeling,
which brings the joy that make you shout!
Alice is beautiful, thanks for sharing!

All I can think of is you better put something on that eruption or Alice may find a surprise on the way within a couple of months. Then, you will have to make a hard decision that will involve more than love. ;-)

Lovely Alice and the looking glass,
The mystical thoughts that come,
All because of a nice ass.
Regis just could not stand
A booty so grand.
So he wrote down a poem real fast.

What seems to shine through childhood is the spontaneous and natural love that children express, without any mast and subterfuge. Your poem seems to touch upon that in a subtle way. Intriguing. John
