I once met a gal named Shirley,
Who always got up much too early;
She did not need a clock,
At the crow of the cock,
She was off which made me quite surly.
A Fisherman Named Mike
A local fisherman named Mike,
Hooked into a very large pike;
His line was too strong,
The pike pulled him along,
And Mike and the pike wound up in Thorndike.
A Lady Named McBain
A cantankerous old lady named McBain,
Rapped me on the head with her cane;
When I objected,
She completely rejected,
My objections that were all in vain.
A Healer from Canmore
A lady I know from Canmore,
Is well-versed in the folklore of yore;
She cures all my aches,
With venom from snakes,
Furthermore, she’s never a bore.
A Lady from Blaine
There once was a lady from Blaine,
Who was anything but plain;
She had bright blue hair,
Which she wore with flair,
At times she could be rather vain.
A Gal Named Shauna
I once met a gal named Shauna,
Oddly, it was in a sauna;
We had a nice talk,
And she did not balk,
As we discussed flora and fauna.
A Fellow Named Todd
There once was a fellow named Todd,
Who was odd and claimed to be a god;
He called forth the rain,
Tried to stop a train,
His remains show that he was a fraud.
A Fellow Named Bryce
There once was a fellow named Bryce,
Who had a great fondness for mice;
He kept them in cages,
And fed them their wages,
In the form of many grains of rice.
A Lady and her Telephone Booth
There once was a lady named Ruth,
Who ran her own telephone booth;
She charged a dollar,
To every caller,
But twice that if they were uncouth.
A Would-Be Bridegroom
A man was looking for a bride,
He decided to take a long ride;
He came into town,
In a velvet gown,
And everyone thought he was fried.
