Walk the Talk
I have always been with her
We are ever together
A forever tether
I contemplate and meditate
And when happily in this state
I do not ever stagnate
I am grateful for my health
I know what is real wealth
And I have no need of stealth
I talk to the birds
Understand their words
Avians are not nerds
I talk to the trees
Swaying in the breeze
The moment I seize
I mostly walk alone
When I am in the zone
Breathing in ozone
Everything has changed
Maybe I am deranged
Waiting to be exchanged
I am in my own space
One from an alien race
Far from my home base
But I do not give up hope
I think I have learned to cope
It does no one good to mope
At times I meet others
Sisters but not brothers
Brothers prefer mothers
I am not a mother
I am just another
Waiting for my other
She is never far from me
She has ever been “mon amie”
She introduced me to Rumi
And so as I walk
I do not ever balk
And I never stalk
As I talk and I talk
With me
With her
With us
With the Creator

And it's okay to be a bit alien in an uncaring crowd. It's okay to shout it out loud.
