At Christmas time, you are creating New Year's resolutions.
I have found writing acrostics not difficult, but rarely do them. And while I find that some poems are way too long and full of deadweight that they don't read easily, I find that haiku, while it may be a high art, is too spare, too brief, to reach an emotion or create a story.
I enjoyed this immensely. I haven't written haiku in a very long time. It's a true challenge to limit myself to a subscribed formula because I'm sure you can tell that I'm a bit of a literary chatterbox. Merry Christmas, Regis. I hope it's filled with joy and laughter, and, of course, love.
