 Einstein, Hawkins or Socrates,

They all seem the same to me,
For no-one ever lived that can explain,
What makes me go weak at the knees?
Or makes me throw a wobbly,
When you appear, or someone speaks your name,

No scientist can find the cause,
That has me climbing up the walls,
And losing my ability to think,
And has me jabbering like a fool,
Whenever I am close to you,
And shaking like I’m sure to spill my drink,

What force of nature could conspire?
To set my very cheeks on fire,
And make my pulse to beat as though a drum?
What spell could I have been put under
To blow my confidence asunder,
And cause my legs to want to turn and run?

Some say they know the reason why,
I become so starry eyed,
Every time you come into my sight,
They say I have a childish crush,
Or worse, they say that I'm in love,
And you know, By George!

I think they could be right....

I missed your excellent poetry and so glad you haven't lost your muse. You certainly struck science a blow with this one! But I wouldn't believe they say and hearsay for one minute, by George.

This is so sweet! This reminds me of a poem that I had written long ago entitled, "Your Name", mine has the same "love-struck" moment that you are speaking of in this poem. It puts a smile on my face. Thank you for that!!
