Thorn
I have a thorn into my flesh
That Satan is tormenting me with
And brings me closer to God.
Guilt is a thorn into my flesh
That Satan is tormenting me with
Day and night,
Especially nights,
Stealing my needed sleep.
Worry is a thorn into my flesh
That Satan is tormenting me with
Day and night,
Worry of not measuring up
To the task that God
Has charged me with.
Greed and Jealousy
Are thorns into my flesh
That Satan is tormenting me with
Constantly.
Fear is a thorn into my flesh
That Satan is tormenting me with
Fear of Tomorrow,
Fear of Changes,
Fear of Unknown.
But God blessings bestowed upon me
Will take the thorns away
God’s power will be revealed
And suffering will make
Me perfect.
