My good friend Lady A left me a review of encouragement on my last poem. Her words inspired me to write this. : )
The Cure
I got a message from a friend
She said, “You need to write again”
She said, “To write again, you must
Or else your chops I’ll have to bust”
She said she had a cure for me
Works every time I’d surely see
She danced and then to my surprise
Blew magic dust right in my eyes
I jumped away like I was shot
My eyes were burning fiery hot
How can I write good poetry,
When I can barely even see!?
“Oops” she said, “My rhyming friend”
“I meant to make you write again,
I did not mean to cause you pain,
I guess I should work on my aim”
Someday perhaps I’ll rhyme again
My eyes will cure, just don’t know when
If to find a cure you feel you must,
Beware of Lady’s wielding dust!!

I just love this!!!!!!!!!!! Its adorable........ty ty ty
pax A lolol
I saw the writing on the wall
But not upon your page
Knew it was time for you to scrawl
So magic dust was waved
Was my desire, to inspire
A rhyme or two from you
Cuz your a poet .....I admire
But that YOU always knew!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I really love your writing style
But you've been quiet for awhile
Your chops are asking to be bust
Instead I'll sprinkle magic dust
Bippity boppity, pick up your pen
Write a song, or poem .......again
Something new....you know you can
Come on Woodpecker......YOU DA MAN!!
its that classic tale of magic dust aggression I see and perfectly performed too.
I always stash away a few rhymes under the matress for a rainy day.
This is delightful write, I am sure Lady A will adore it.
