The Tipping Point

Seeing how it is now it is
Like being in a bad relationship
In bed with a madman and his
Dream of a dynastic dictatorship
A nightmare for us but not him
One way or the other another Kim

King Herod was stricken making a speech
I read in the Bible in the Book of Acts
Because of his mistaken overreach
Though he was Agrippa lost his grip
He was tricky but he sickened suddenly
Witnessed by his subjects all and each
A story of humbling whatever the facts
Of someone tumbling down from up too high
Something to think about if it might apply

The tipping point about to tip
A tip of the hat to reality
Seeing the iceberg from the ship
If but the tip of the truth being this
Dim-witted criminality
Is sinking unthinking into the sea

You are right. We have reached a tipping point. A ship gone too far. We have been patient and waiting for all of the promises to come true, but the reverse is happening and it is happening because of the lies and deceit. The self-serving sophistry. Better to tip now and get it over with because a major tipping point in our ecosystem is looming directly ahead and will not be changed by political wrangling, the direct effort of all of us to do better.
