Enough of This Stuff I never fight about it and Hardly ever write about What I find hard to understand That depresses me no doubt So much that I avoid it then But the incivility Of our civil society Chockablock with cocks who crow On Fox or wherever they go Devoid of civility Cockadoodling and peacocking This shocking meanness I see Is getting pretty old with me Enough of this stuff I say Though pretty old myself I know Better than to be this way Tomorrow may be better when We remember who we are May we know better than today From our having gone too far When we knew better anyway Someday to be civilly Steven Curtis Lance

There is always been meanness around us. But we shouldn't let it rise to the top like it has.

So true. So many have lost the ability to control and filter what we say and do. We've lost the ability to respect each other. I truly think social media has much to do with this decline in civility. It's far to easy to say something and then hit send before we have a chance to think about how it might affect someone else.
