Good Morning



The ritual opening
Of the classroom door

A diagram of its swing
Painted on the floor
Habitually warning

It was good morning
At that door my key would fit

Bells would ring to bring
Us to be more than before
To be beginning
To do what we were meant for

Turning out learning
What for is what we went for

It was here we go
And it was on with the show
It was this is it

I forget a lot I know
Not this though not yet

So should life transcend again
