Spring in Spite of Everything



I was looking into some blue
Coming true in the sky
Opening up to bring in spring
Wishing I could look through
Between clouds to see the meaning

Wondering then if I
Had acquired what was required to

Enough of suffering
Through madness to have understood
By all the saddening
Of all that I was maddened by

Why to try not to die
Before seeing the blue come true

Seeing how I live on
Given this opportunity
Crazy enough to try

In spring in spite of everything
Being mistakenly

To see an opening up of
Hope again if I could
To look into the eyes of love
Seeing them opening

Before this chance is gone
Do I have what it takes to be?

And then the sun felt good
As if the eyes looked into me
Surprising from above
Loving me then I felt something
That makes me hope I do
