Before I forget
You never know I might
This is when to get
It all written down right

My father said never
Forget who you are
If I do however
To fall like a star
Like in my old tattoo

Reminding me why
I do it like I do
To do it or die

To rise up as I fall
Surprising the sky
Write it down all the way
To the after all

By what I leave behind
Say what I have seen
My way for you to find

Die trying to say
It the best way I know
The rest of the way
My best before I go
Out someday in style

But not today not yet
Let me stay awhile
Here in the in between

How what I do to be
Somehow becomes me
As it comes to be though
I go here to stay

Between the lines of it
