I wonder if this place
Can make it to November

Wondering if not quite
Understanding what I see
If after a disgrace
Like this if we remember

Being mistakenly
Suffering a loss of face
A rougher place to be

Where I am seen as less than
But I can see a lot:

An authoritarian
Not seeing he is not
More than I am after all
Not being in the fall

But just another old man
Who must worry tonight

I see this might be a long
And very scary night
From the outside all along
Out looking for some light

Knowing something might go wrong
Again something not right
With him looking down on me
